Awesome weekend for The "Just a Girl" Team with 5 Team members competing!! Win or Learn...we all did Great!
Hailee was put in with the boys, she fought hard but fell short against a little boy who typically takes it all. Nina had a tough opponent as well and also had a great fight! Nina was a little upset about not winning, I explained to her that I don't sponsor her because she usually wins, I sponsor her because she represents Just a Girl with an amazing attitude and she is a great role model for other little girls. This weekend I also had to use my own advise.
Yesenya, Alyssa and Kayla all brought home the GOLD! I'm proud of them all equally for getting out there, that's the hardest part!

In addition to the great showing of my Just a Girl Team....My Boyfriend, Andrew Gardineer, took DOUBLE GOLD in the adult Brown Belt division! I'm so proud of him! He is always amazing to watch compete, calm and cool. I wish I could borrow some of that. Andrew finished his 1st match in less then a minute and 2nd in 3 minutes. Making him a 4 time AZ State Champion!
As always.....I'm also VERY proud of my son Tyson Antillon! Tyson won his 1st match by arm bar with an sweet performance impressing the crowd (as-usual) Tyson is fun to watch with his fast paced, action filled matches! Unfortunately Tyson was effected by the 119 degree weather we experienced this weekend and gassed out during the second match. Great job Tyson! We had several Lotus Club members competing and ended up with 3rd place as a team.
