Every year for Seth's birthday, he asks for some outrageous gift. a dune buggy, a Ford Bronco, a 1000 BMX bike, a horse....and the list goes on! As much as I wish I could afford, have room for or time to take care of some of those items, Seth has yet to receive any of them.
As a child, I had some cool bike's, toys etc...but, the things I remember most were the family camping trips, summers in Carlsbad with my cousins, riding ponies at a little ranch my Dad used to take me to. Andrew and I work hard to come up with ways to create memories for Seth that will last a lifetime instead of buying him lots of meaningless things that will soon be forgotten.
Last week for Seth's 12th Birthday, we took a trip out to Wickenburg to the Dude Ranch at Rancho de los Caballeros. We took a relaxing horseback ride, hung out by the pool, listened to an awesome singer in the saloon and had a fun dinner in old town Wickenburg.
Hopefully this will be a trip Seth won't soon forget. Looking forward to making MANY more memories for years to come!
