When I started this website, my intention was to do a blog about the trials and tribulations I was personally facing as a female in the greatly male populated World of Jiu Jitsu. The blog was also intended to serve as a way to look back on my journey to achieve my Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu.
My blog and website, which started out to be about "Me" has since dramatically changed! It's now an online store serving women and little girls all over the world and a blog
telling stories of the females I sponsor and "Their" achievements. It's still nice have this record of my life events, tournaments, teaching and training but, I'm really enjoying this new chapter that has turned out to be more about others.
Watching Just a Girl grow has been very exciting and fulfilling! Being able to help other girls feel excited about training and seeing that Jiu Jitsu is for everyone....no matter your age, sex or size.
It is awesome to receive a photo of a little girl in Hawaii, Indiana and even as far as Australia in a JAG shirt or gi.
I want to thank all you amazing ladies (and some awesome husbands and Dads too!) for all of the support and promoting you have all done.
The more Just a Girl grows...The more I can do for other female Jiu Jitsu Practitioners!
BTW....Since I starting training Jiu Jitsu, the ratio of men to women has really changed...in the tournament scene, at seminars and even in my gym! This is really amazing to watch! Keep it up
