This year my New Years resolution was to “get healthy”. When I tell anyone this (especially people who don’t train) they all seem to have a similar response “What are you talking about? You’re so small or you’re in good shape! Or you barely eat anything” Yes, I take Jiu Jitsu 4-5 days a week, I do sit-ups, push-ups etc…and sometimes I even run and no, I don’t eat a lot but, that last statement is the problem! Not only do I not eat a lot when I do eat I make VERY bad choices. I have a VERY bad sweet tooth, I LOVE Oreo’s and Chips Ahoy cookies! Sometimes (pretty frequently) I eat just cookies, ice cream, a candy bar instead of a meal. My idea of healthy eating is having a granola bar instead of my junk food (which is still filled with sugar and other bad stuff)
So….I now own a Nutri-bullet (juicer) and a George Forman Grill, which I’ve been putting to good use! 2 juices a day and chicken or turkey burgers for meals. I also got some supplements from Fighter Tech and I admit, I feel GREAT! I have a lot more energy, I’ve been sleeping better and I even feel more mentally alert.
Now, I just have to keep it up! I haven’t completely cut out my “goodies” but, I have cut down. Let’s not get crazy here!! ;)
