This weekend my son Tyson has been at the Gracie US Nationals in CA. Yesterday was the Gi portion, In this tournament there are no points or advantage points calculated for any positions/moves, submission only! All Matches are 15 mins long.and in the Finals there is no time limit.
An athlete must submit their opponent within the 15 minute time limit to win the match and advance in the bracket. Yesterday Tyson won both of his matches in less than 10 seconds, one by knee bar and the other by ankle lock! GREAT job Tyson!!
As,of now Tyson hasn't competed in the No-gi portion. I will give an update on the outcome when I have it!
