Tomorrow morning we head off to CA for the NABJJF Worlds Tournament. We have 12 kids and 5 adults including myself competing.
Last night I watched our kids team with a smile on my face! These kids have improved so much it's amazing! It is so rewarding to see them executing the techniques you have shown them. They push themselves and each other everyday! On top of that, they are kind and thankful. I receive "thank you for teaching us" on a daily basis and sometimes even a round of applause after showing techniques.
I love my job and I feel so blessed to have the amazing group of students/teammates/friends/family in our school.
Our adult program has an amazing feel as well. Students not only pushing themselves but also helping their teammates. I smile when I see their communications through Facebook, encouraging each other, teasing each other, being a "Jiu Jitsu family"
After a year since De Boa started up in the garage, I still feel just as excited to come train and hang out with my friends!
