Having Jiu Jitsu in my life has given me some great opportunities and experiences. I have been able to travel to compete and train in other states and even in the Dominican Republic. But, the best thing Jiu Jitsu has done for me, is bring amazing people into my life!
Last night my husband Andrew and I got to have the ultimate UFC experience! Our friends David & Mechelle, who we met through BJJ took us to the event. Not only did we have great seats, we had great company. We can't thank them enough for such a fun night with awesome fight card!

Andrew, through some of his Jiu Jitsu experiences, had the opportunity to corner fighter Ian Enty, a kid he met while teaching and training in Thailand a few years back. Along side of his friend Ray Elbe (who actually got him started in BJJ) they coached Ian to a win by heel hook that landed Ian a $50,000 bonus for "submission of the night" Andrew and I also got to experience the moment Ian was told this news, it was awesome to see his face and reaction when he found out that his 1 min 15 sec battle just completely changed his life!
I have been training for only 4 years and have had many life changing experiences myself from being involved in this sport. I can't wait to see what comes my way next!
