Yes, we have all felt this way I'm sure! Just last year alone, I lost my job, my license, and a court case but, if you didn't read this you wouldn't know because not once did I post it on Facebook. Not because this didn't completely affect my life but, because I should really be thankful for all of the great things I have in my life, most importantly a healthy family! Those problems come and go, they are just seasons of my life, not REAL struggles!
I'm writing this blog after watching a video about an amazing family who has REALLY gone through some struggles and yet....they don't complain, they stay positive, they take life one step at a time and they are thankful for what they do have, a great support system and hope!
The family that I'm talking about is the Nava Family. They are fighting a disease called NF2.
NF2 is a genetically determined disorder which affects one in 40,000 individuals worldwide.
Neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) is a rare genetic disorder that is
primarily characterized by benign (noncancerous) tumors of the nerves that
transmit sound impulses from the inner ears to the brain (bilateral acoustic
neuromas vestibular schwannomas).

Since starting Jiu Jitsu, I have seen some incredible things in this community; raising money for many great causes, taking kids off the streets, helping each other, cheering each other etc.
Please watch the video below to learn more about NF2, The Nava Family and the amazing way they fight to beat this disease!
