I'm always proud to have these amazing ladies represent Just a Girl in a Jiu Jitsu World! They are all awesome at Jiu Jitsu, brave enough to get out there and compete and most important.....they are all GREAT roll models with BIG goals! Beautiful inside and out!
Amelia, Hannah & Darby all took on the boys yesterday!
Amelia took Gold finishing both matches in a matter of seconds by arm bar (she IS my "Mini Me") *see video below
Darby took Bronze in the No-Gi 12 year old "Boys Division" (She's 9) Finishing a sweet guillotine in 5 seconds her 1st match! Some how Darby got missed in the "Gi" portion and didn't get to compete. She did get a chance to show off her her JAG gi but, unfortunately it didn't get to hit the mats :( Proud of you "Dangerous Darby" as we all know, just making the commitment to compete is TOUGH!
Hannah, also matched up with the boys, took home a Silver Medal, falling short in a VERY tough match! Hannah is awesome to watch! She has great technique and always looks so calm and confident (I wish I could borrow a little of that!)
Erin, who competed in The Abu Dhabi Pro Trails in New York today took GOLD in her weight class and in the Open Weight winning herself an all expense paid trip to Abu Dhabi! This is a HUGE accomplishment but, I have seen Erin compete and I'm not surprised! Erin is VERY talented and competitive.

I want to give a BIG Thank you to Hannah and Amelia, who in addition to competing today passed out flyers at The US Open helping to promote JAG! AND BIG Thanks to Robbie Shakespeare (Amelia's Mom) for making the flyers!!
