Nina Sandoval is a 9 year old Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner and competitor who trains at Ruffhouse Training Center in Mesa, AZ. She received her grey belt after winning the 2013 Kids Pan American Championship as a grey belt while she was still a white belt.
Additional achievements include:
2012 SW Classic Gold Medalist
2013 AZ International Open Gold Medalist
Due to the small number of girls who compete in Jiu Jitsu Nina has had to compete against boys in the past. This seems to be changing quickly! (Lucky for those boys!) ;)
In addition to being a straight A student, she enjoys going to her gymnastics
classes, watching scary movies with her family and listening to music. As the
youngest member of a Jiu Jitsu family Nina helps with the family's busy schedule
by doing chores around the house and taking care of her dog Cinderella (aka
Rella).
