Jiu Jitsu is such an amazing sport! I have met the most wonderful people and had the greatest experiences through the Jiu Jitsu Community.
This past weekend, I traveled to CA to attend Kids Pan Ams. I don't have any young children of my own that compete in Jiu Jitsu (my son who does compete is 20 and my 9 year old only wants to skateboard right now) so I wasn't sure I was going to attend due to the cost of travel and a hotel room for this tournament.
Thanks to the awesome support of the girls I sponsor, I was able to attend! I hitched a ride with Miss "Dangerous Darby" and her family and had a 2 night slumber party with Little Miss Amelia "Fierce" and her family. I am so grateful for these awesome people for making it possible for me to be there for my girls and my teammates. Thanks so much to the Shakespeare and Douglas Families for all you do for Just a Girl and Eminence Kimono! (and that goes for ALL of our sponsored athletes, we have an amazing team)
Team "Just a Girl" had 4 competitors and brought home 3 Gold medals and a Silver! The girls did great! All showing great sportsmanship, showing off their talents and having fun! Siege MMA brought home 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals! Great job kids!
