After several months of contemplating, we have made a decision to close shop on Eminence Kimono.
We hear people say "I want to start a gi company" and secretly we laugh on the inside. Just an FYI...Running a gi business is not all fun and games! Dealing with our "friends" aka our suppliers in Pakistan, keeping up on LOTS of social media, orders done incorrectly, just to name a few of the headaches. We both also put in 40-50 hours at our day jobs. Yes, there were some perks as well...traveling, all of the awesome people who came into our lives, new gi every month, giving goodies and pushing our sponsored athletes etc...Unfortunately, we were starting to feel a little "spread thin" with the opening of our new academy just around the corner. This was a tough decision for us to make but, when we felt a huge weight off of our shoulders after making this final, we knew we made the right choice.
We want to extend a HUGE thank you to all of the amazing support we received from the Jiu Jitsu Community! And our sponsored athletes, who did such a great job pushing our name and selling gis! 2 years in business in this very competitive business, wouldn't have been possible without you all.
Time to put our focus on our new school, De Boa Jiu Jitsu Academy, training, competing and for me personally...Representing my new gi sponsor which I am very excited to announce! stay tuned......
